PC version of Stellar Blade officially launches on June 11
Enhanced visuals with AI upscaling, frame generation, and ultrawide support
New boss fight and 25 new costumes to be added on both PC and PS5
Developer SHIFT UP reports strong Q1 performance; new game Project Witches teased
Fan theories link game themes with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Stellar Blade is finally coming to PC on June 11, after weeks of speculation and a quickly pulled leaked trailer. This isn’t just a standard port — the PC version is packed with visual enhancements and brand-new content, promising an upgraded experience even for returning players.
The PC version includes several high-end features:
AI upscaling and frame generation
Unlocked framerate
Ultrawide monitor support
DualSense controller compatibility
High-resolution texture packs
Japanese and Chinese voice-overs
The most exciting addition? 25 brand-new costumes and an all-new boss battle mode. These updates will also be available on the PS5 version at the same time.
Early reactions to the costumes have been overwhelmingly positive, with players calling them some of the best in the game. The new boss battle content is also expected to enhance the game’s already tight combat mechanics.
Fan feedback highlights the fluid combat and boss battles as the game’s strongest points. However, some players noted that the storytelling and open-world elements felt underdeveloped. Still, with comments like “my favorite game of last year,” Stellar Blade clearly struck a chord with many fans.
SHIFT UP, the studio behind Stellar Blade, reported strong results in its Q1 2025 earnings call. Total revenue reached 42.2 billion KRW (approx. $31M USD), with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE bringing in 32.3 billion KRW, and Stellar Blade contributing 7 billion KRW.
Their EVE and Tachy figures sold out immediately, showcasing the brand’s rising popularity.
Most notably, SHIFT UP confirmed that Project Witches, their next major title, will be revealed in June — possibly during Summer Game Fest. The game is targeting a 2027 release.
Director Hyung-Tae Kim recently praised Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on X (formerly Twitter), calling it his GOTY pick. Fans are now wondering if Project Witches or future updates to Stellar Blade will explore deeper emotional storytelling, much like what was shown in Expedition 33.
Both games also place a strong emphasis on visual character customization, making the comparison even more compelling.
